It's all about integrity...but apparently not about accountability

(thanks to John Tabor for this one….)

Man, do I miss Texas politics or what? You really have to admire Texas Republicans and their commitment to integrity- other people’s integrity. “One person, one vote” may be a great thing for elections, and you can bet that Texas’ Republican legislators are going to be all over maintaining the integrity of the state’s elections. Apparently, the integrity expectations don’t exactly extend to the Legislature and how it goes about conducting it’s business. If you watch the above piece, you’ll realize just what a hypocrite Debbie Riddle and her fellow Republicans are. Never mind that their behavior is actually against the rules Legislators have set for themselves.

Integrity? Republicans? Yeah, you might hear those words used in the same sentence, generally by Republicans themselves. Unfortunately, it’s about as meaningful as “family values” or “Compassionate Conservatism”.
