Tony Snow: ‚Äö√Ñ√≤The Second War In This Country’ Is ‚Äö√Ñ√≤The War On God’

Snow laments an imaginary ‚Äö√Ñ√≤war on God’

Tony Snow wows Oklahoma Christian

Former White House press secretary Tony Snow is apparently attempting to remake himself into the image of Bill O’Reilly. In a series of recent public events, Snow has adopted the mantle of the right-wing’s perceived “secular-progressive” war on conservatives. Last Friday in an address to the Academy of Leadership & Liberty at Oklahoma Christian University, former White House Press Secretary Tony Snow launched a rhetorical broadside against college faculties in America and mourned this nation’s “war on God.”

Yes, it’s true. I’m sick to death of pseudo-Christian Right-wing authoritarians pretending that they actually care about the agenda of the Religious Right. If they actually did care, you might actually see some of these trolls trying to live their alleged beliefs. Yeah…like THAT’S going to happen….

Above everything else, Tony Snow knows how to pander. I can almost hear his audience puffing themselves up as he massaged their outsized egos and their collective self-righteousness. Here was righteous middle America, so swollen with their own hypocritical self-importance and moral superiority that they were willing to accept the verbal equivalent of a handjob from a man best known for his ability to pander articulately and skillfully to virtually any segment of Our Glorious and Benevolent Leader’s © (ever-shrinking) core constituency.

There’s as much a “war on God” in this country as there is a campaign to deny funding to our troops.

The winsome and articulate Snow charmed his audience with wit:

“The average Iranian is more Pro-American than virtually any college faculty in this country.” And with serious talk about the war on terror and “the second war in this country, the war on God.” [‚Äö√Ѭ∂]

Snow also said he loved being on a stage where he could say the word “God.”

If Snow had been so all-fired-up about the “war on God”, you’d think he would have mentioned the Almighty at least once behind the podium during his time as White House Press Secretary. Never happened, though, did it? Uh, perhaps the “war on God” was covert when he was Press Secretary. The truth is that Tony Snow is as much about defending God as I am about voting Republican.

It never ceases to amaze me the degrees to which current and former Bushbots will go to pander to their constituency. Then again, when you have nothing of any concrete value to offer, I suppose keeping the faithful thoroughly propagandized becomes Job One. Otherwise, they just might begin thinking for themselves.

Jeebus, what a (&^%$#@ hypocrite….
