To All Our Republican Friends:
Please know that even though your party elected a president who has spent $.5 trillion on an un-winnable war, lost us almost every international friend we ever had, disgraced the nation with his administration’s policies on the treatment of prisoners of war (even to the point of an unprecedented rebuke by the Supreme Court), further alienating most of the world; has given tax cuts to the rich while the government reported that the number of Americans without enough to eat has increased by seven million in the last five years (now 12 percent of US households); has proposed cutting funding for school lunch programs, and vetoed expanding health insurance for low-income children (yet has been the mother of all big-spenders); allowed the Canadians to reach Katrina victims before US aid arrived, and then rejected aid from other countries - while his policies of privatizing of public services like FEMA crippled their ability to mobilize rapidly; has roll backed decades of hard-won environmental improvements; has disgracefully used the US Attorney General’s office for political purposes, and all the while, holds the all-time presidential record on vacation days taken‚Äö√Ѭ∂
