But there's always plenty of money for a pointless war, no?

Bush Unveils $3 Trillion Budget Proposal

President Bush today unveiled a tough-minded, $3 trillion budget proposal for fiscal 2009 that would slice $14.2 billion from the growth of federal health-care programs, eliminate scores of programs and virtually freeze domestic spending — but would still record a $407 billion budget deficit…. “In my 2009 Budget, I have set clear priorities that will help us meet our nation’s most pressing needs while addressing the long-term challenges ahead. With pro-growth policies and spending discipline, we will balance the budget in 2012, keep the tax burden low and provide for our national security,” Bush said in his final budget message.

Funny, isn’t it? I’d grown accustomed to hearing Republicans belittling Democrats as “tax and spend Liberals”. Yet, Our Glorious and Benevolent Leader © has taken a largely balanced budget and, through irresponsible tax cuts and unchecked spending, reinstated world-class budget deficits. Bill Clinton spend eight years bringing the budget under control, and the Worst President EVER © has completed wasted the efforts made by the Clinton Administration to reduce the burden that we’re placing on future generations.

It never ceases to amaze me; we seem to have enough money to continue to pour into the war in Iraq, yet not nearly enough to take care of business here at home. Instead of looking at how to more effectively deliver needed government services and social programs so that the greatest good is done for the greatest number of those in need, this budget goes in the opposite direction. Compassionate Conservative, my @$$….

And isn’t it interesting how this budget calls for a balanced budget by 2012, four years AFTER the end of his term? By refusing to face the music now and accept responsibility for his profligate, irresponsible fiscal policies, the War Criminal in Chief © is forcing the hand of the next President by dumping the mess into their lap. Hey, they’re going to inherit the mess in Iraq…why not the massive, out of control budget deficit?

NOW CAN WE IMPEACH THE LYING BASTARD??
