The Conservative Agenda For 2008 — A Third Bush Term
On issue after issue, John McCain, Mitt Romney, and Mike Huckabee have shown themselves eager to carry on President Bush’s legacy. There has been almost no distinction between their rhetoric in recent GOP debates and Bush’s 2008 State of the Union address. What they have promised, essentially, is a third Bush term.
I may not agree with the philosophies and positions of the remaining GOP Presidential candidates, but I know they’re not stupid people. They’ve seen what an unmitigated clusterf—k the past seven-plus years have been, and yet they seem fixated on maintaining the Bush status quo. Then again, if you’re a wealthy White male, the past seven-plus years have probably been pretty good to you. What I truly don’t understand, though, is how three clueless, self-absorbed well-off White males can attract so much support from the middle class- the very people that Our Glorious and Benevolent Leader has forced to bend over and grab their ankles. Like so many Republicans in past elections, the middle class consistently votes against their economic interests…though they’ll tell you that the economy is their top issue going into this election season. Uh, right…anyone else see anything wrong with this picture?
And you wonder why I have so a high degree of disdain for the American sheeple? Of course, Hillary Clinton is Satan incarnate, and Barack Obama may be one of them there “Libruls”, so the only REAL Americans left are Republicans, all of whom seem to be vying for the same problem- what amounts to a third Bush term. Nice, eh?
Sometimes democracy ain’t pretty…especially when so many Americans vote reflexively based on what the Right-wing voices tell them to do. I’ve long since stopped hoping for critical thinking from the American sheeple. SOME sort of thought process would sure be nice though, don’tchathink??
VOTE REPUBLICAN…’CUZ IT’S SURE A HELLUVA LOT EASIER THAN THINKING….
