Being a Conservative Republican means never having to say you're sorry

Hey, kids!! Guess what time it is? Yep, it’s time for…Why It’s Great To Be A Republican Wingnut: Reason #482!!!

Today we learn about former DUMB@$$ AWARD wiener William Kristol, who despite being factually-challenged and apparently unfamiliar with the concept of fact-checking, accused Barack Obama of being present at one his pastor’s inflammatory speeches. If true, this would certain cast the candidate in a very unflattering light. The problem is that it’s not true, and rather than check his source(s), Kristol simply made the charge in his New York Times column on Monday, and editor and publisher simply let it pass without verification.

When the Obama campaign was kind enough to present Kristol with evidence that his charge was patently false, Kristol offered a “mea culpa” that was as unconvincing as it was weak:

In this column, I cite a report that Sen. Obama had attended services at Trinity Church on July 22, 2007. The Obama camapaign [sic] has provided information showing that Sen. Obama did not attend Trinity that day. I regret the error.

How is it that this sort of intellectual sloppiness- being too lazy to verify the charge he was about to make against Sen. Obama- is allowed to pass without even the barest of fact-checking at the “newspaper of record”? Would the same laziness from a more Liberal columnist been allowed to tolerated? Somehow, I think not. Yet Kristol gets a free pass. Boys will be boys, knowhutimean??

Then again, when you’re a noted Conservative activist (albeit a complete (&^%$#@ moron), and a lifelong Republican, the old saying really IS true: Being a Republican means never having to say you’re sorry…even if your intellectual slothfulness is surpassed only by your laziness, you inability to construct and defened a coherent argument, and your complete and utter lack of human decency.

WHAT LIBERAL MEDIA??
