It would seem that Congresswoman, former DUMB@$$ AWARD wiener and noted baby farmer Michele Bachmann (R-MN) has some sort of dedicated line to Almighty (and apparently very Republican) God. I’m sad to say that this wingnut represents the district I lived in when I still lived in Minnesota…and this makes me ashamed to have to admit that I grew up there. If Katherine Harris lived in Minnesota, she’d be Michelle Bachmann…and that’s not a complimentary comparison. Actually, Harris looks almost sane and reasonable by comparison.
I’ve long since grown tired of Republican zealots claiming the imprimatur of the Almighty in the war on terror…never mind, of course, that Iraq has exactly NOTHING to do with the war on terror. I suppose if you view your party’s ideology as being ordained by God, then it’s probably easy to see the hand of the Lord in everything you think is right. Conversely, if you don’t agree with it, it’s of course of the Devil.
In sense, Bachmann is just another Looney Tunes Republican hack willing to claim Divine backing for her twisted ideology and incomprehensible, self-absorbed “logic”. I could be a good deal meaner in my assessment, but I value Bachmann- if for no other reason that she’s a comedy gold mine. I mean, the woman clearly doesn’t realize that’s she a parody of herself…but that just means more fun for me to have at her expense. If I were still handing out DUMB@$$ AWARDS, I think I would have renamed them for her. In fact…now there’s an idea, eh? (He says as he shuffles off to his laboratory to work on his latest brainstorm….)
I wish I could say this affliction is unique to Rep. Bachmann, but we could probably hear this same nonsense being said in thousands of churches all over the country on any given Sunday. Right wing Christians seriously believe God is on their side and that only they understand his will.
Now, me and god don't have too many one on one communications - but I have a feeling if he had something important he wanted us to know about which side of the war he was on, he sure as shit wouldn't have a major league asshole like Michele Bachmann acting as his mouthpiece.
