Is there a place beyond mind-numbingly stupid? If there is, these cretins are SO there....

On the March 24 edition of Fox News’ The Live Desk, during a panel discussion of New Mexico Gov. Bill Richardson’s endorsement of Sen. Barack Obama, Philadelphia radio host Dom Giordano referred to Richardson’s beard, and said, “Yeah, he looks better with it. I don’t know if it’s playing into the ethnic card, or whatever.” Host Martha MacCallum then stated, “Because he said, you know, he also is — I think he’s the son of an American-born man and a Mexican-born woman, which is, you know — I guess he shares that in some ways with Barack Obama’s background. So he said, you know, ‘It’s hard for me,’ he said to me once, ‘people don’t even know I’m Hispanic.’ ” She then asked, “So is that part of what he is … cultivating here?” Giordano replied, “I think so.”

This, seriously, has got to be the single most ignorant, mean-spirited piece of political “analysis” EVER. Frankly, I stand in awe of the stunning ignorance and lack of intellectual…well, anything. If you hooked an EKG monitor up to these idjits, I don’t think you’d find a functional brain wave between them. Jeebus…how is it that morons like this can get a well-paying TV gig, and I’m blogging my ever-lovin’ brains out gratis?? Who says that there’s any justice in this world?

As if we needed any proof that free speech can be, and often is, offensive speech, these dickweeds actually think they have something useful to add to the public discourse. I’m not at all certain that Bill Richardson’s beard has anything to do with…well, anything at all. It certainly doesn’t have a thing to do with his endorsement of Sen. Barack Obama or his Hispanicness (uh, wait…did I just invent a word??)

And to think that there are folks out there who actually believe that Faux News Channel really is “fair and balanced”. Even more frightening is that intellectual midgets vote. Then again, voting Republican sure beats the Hell out of thinking, no?

Nothing like a little insightful analysis and whip-smart poltical discourse to start your day off, eh? Too bad you’re not going to find it on “The Live Desk”.
