Why does this (&^%$#@ moron still have a job?

There are people — they say this about Bill Clinton — he might be the anti-Christ. Odds that Barack Obama is the Antichrist?

What does it say about a major media outlet- CNN in this case- when it allows a major league troglodyte like Glenn Beck to spew whatever hateful, meaningless nonsense that pops into his pointy l’il haid?? Having a “serious” dicsussion about whether or not Sen. Barack Obama might be the anti-Christ contributes to informed public discourse how, exactly? And it’s not as if Beck limits his posturing on the identity of the anti-Christ to Obama. In 2006, he also called Sen. Hillary Clinton the anti-christ. That the Rev. John Hagee was involved in the conversation about Sen. Obama only serves to make this characterization even more offensive.

Jeebus, what a (&^%$#@ dickweed, eh?

I don’t have a problem with people not thinking the same way I do, but is it too much to expect them to engage their brain prior to putting their mouth into gear. What’s equally as disturbing is the number of brain-dead American sheeple who hang on Beck’s every word as if they’re handed down from On High. Beck is fortunate enough to have a platform, but shouldn’t he have to support his assertions rather then engaging in borderline slander? Should he really be allowed by a major media to spread unsupportable propaganda on their dime and in their name?

I realize that free speech and be- and often is- offensive speech. After all, how often have I made that very same argument? Even so, when Glenn Beck engages in verbal gymnastics that could be argued to be borderline slanderous, shouldn’t CNN be put on notice? Free speech/offensive speech is protected by the Constitution; I’m not suggesting that Beck be prosecuted…but doesn’t CNN have a responsibility to it’s audience? Or is it really all about the ratings?

Don’t make me answer that. You know as well as I do what the answer is.

Good Lord; we have have turned into a nation of dunces, havent’ we? Far too many Americans are willing to accept any and all manner of Right-wing propaganda at face value. Then again, thinking and voting Republican is sure a helluva lot easier than thinking, no? I suppose this goes a long way toward explaining how and why Our Glorious and Benevolent Leader © has spent the past eight years in the White House.

And you wonder why I fear for the future of America….
