THE WORST PERSON IN THE WORLD
(apologies to Keith Olbermann)
Vice President
Vlad the Impaler © Dick Cheney

I’m glad that Cheney spoke as honestly as he did. Without perhaps even realizing what he was doing, he provided a window into the arrogance of this Administration and the complete disdain and disregard they feel for those who voted them into office. It sounds as if Cheney doesn’t care what Americans think…because he truly doesn’t care. And why should he? He knows that Congressional Democrats don’t have the balls to impeach him or Our Glorious and Benevolent Leader © . Impeach them? Hell, they lack the cojones to even stand up to them. They’ve made a mockery of the Democratic majority in Congress…and the Bush Adminstration doesn’t care who knows it…which by now is pretty much everyone.
Because of term limits, these two war criminals pretty much have the run of the place. They won’t be impeached and they won’t quit, so for the next 10 months they can do pretty much as they please…and that thought scares the Hell out of me. It should be doing the same to you.
What can happen in ten months? Well, with 130,000 Americans troops next door in Iraq, there should be a healthy fear of a war in Iraq moving from concept to reality. Who knows how many more Americans will return home from the region in flag-draped boxes…but it’s OK. We had the opportunity to express our opinion, we did it, and now we can go f—k ourselves.
Uh, since when did the US become a monarchy? Given that a recent poll found that 81% of Americans believe that government should pay attention to opinion polls (well, DUH….), you’d almost have to think that this is a democracy or something. Then again, 54 million of y’all did vote for these incompetent, murdering dickweeds, remember? Just because you can’t see the blood on your hands (it’s metaphorical, after all) doesn’t mean it’s not there.
STILL GLAD YOU VOTED REPUBLICAN? DON’T YOU WISH EVERYONE WOULD?

CHENEY: No. I think you cannot be blown off course by the fluctuations in the public opinion polls.
Damn right: President Clinton never allowed himself to be blown off course, did he?
Cha-ching!!
Who can blame Cheney? Apparently it doesn't even matter to the American people what the American people think about the Iraq war.
John McCain, who sees no problem having U.S. troops in Iraq (apparently being paid \with dollars we borrow) for the next hundred years. And right now, polls show him defeating Obama or Clinton.
I'd say the Republicans have pretty well figured things out.
I hate it when Dennis is right ;)
But will add that the democrats have also figured out that they will not find the presidential prize egg if they make withdrawal from Iraq a front burner issue in the election. It's almost as if both parties have agreed to take that option off the table.
Kinda makes me wish folks had more than two parties from which to choose, ya know?
The Iraq war should be a front burner issue, as should this war. It's a shame that neither major party is up to the task.
