Methinks perhaps someone's been spending way too much time watching the "700 Club"

Israeli MP blames quakes on gays: An Israeli MP has blamed parliament’s tolerance of gays for earthquakes that have rocked the Holy Land recently

THE WORST PERSON IN THE WORLD

(apologies to Keith Olbermann)

Shlomo Benizri

Shlomo Benizri, of the ultra-Orthodox Jewish Shas Party, said the tremors had been caused by lawmaking that gave “legitimacy to sodomy”. Israel decriminalised homosexuality in 1988 and has since passed several laws recognising gay rights. Two earthquakes shook the region last week and a further four struck in November and December.

Gays cause earthquake??. Man, I had NO idea Da Gayz had such magical and destructive powers. They can invoke the forces of nature to destroy Life As We Know It © ? Really? Wow…you go, girl!!

I’d imagine there are a many homosexuals who wouldn’t mind having such terrible and awe-inspiring powers. There are probably a few dozen hate mongers they wouldn’t mind burying under large piles of rubble. For someone to seriously posit the idea that gays are responsible for earthquakes…man, it sounds like someone’s gone off his meds, doesn’t it? And I’ll bet he drags his knuckles when he walks.

Right; Lord knows we can only take so much tolerance and acceptance. At some point, we just have to have someone to hate…because otherwise you’d have to started looking inward…and we all know how uncomfortable that can be, eh?

Beniziri is seriously asking the Knesset to stop “passing legislation on how to encourage homosexual activity in the state of Israel, which anyway brings about earthquakes”. Uh…if it was really that simple, don’t you think California (and San Francisco in particular) would have been all over this idea long ago? Hmm…or, if Benziri’s right, that would explain San Francisco’s numerous earthquakes, right? Nahhh….

Then again, what else could one reasonably expect from someone who spends his days channelling the late Rabbi Meir Kahane? Jeebus, what a (&^%$#@ troglodyte….

Amazing, isn’t it? No matter how hard you and I might try to clean up our own house before we look outside ourselves, there really are those who would be morally adrift if not for their world-class ignorance and hatred. What’s so funny about peace, love, and understanding (apologies to Elvis Costello)…and why is it so difficult for knuckle-draggers like Shlomo Benziri to accept those who happen not to live and believe as he does? Perhaps it’s because that without an obvious target upon which to focus his venom, Benziri might actually have to engage in some self-exploration…and the poor fool’s head would likely explode.

Is this guy related to Michael Savage??
