Be it ever so humble....

I'm hiding in Honduras
I'm a desperate man
Send lawyers, guns and money
The shit has hit the fan

Man, it was SO nice to wake up in my own bed this morning. I looked out the window...and I didn't see I-271. Of course, my body's still on Eastern time, so I've been awake since about 230am, but I don't have to be back at work for another week, so it's all good, no? Not only that, I get to do some catching up today and tomorrow, and I'm planning on thoroughly enjoying myself.

One of the things I enjoy about flying into PDX is that on a clear day, the view breath-taking. One it's final approach, the plane flew almost directly over Mt. Hood, which is always an impressive sight, but from about 15,000 above sea level and 3-4 miles away...well, ain't nuthin' like that in Cleveland, knowwhutimean??

We were also treated to views of Mt. Jefferson, the Twin Sisters, Mt. Baker, Mt. Adams, Mt. Rainier, and Mt St. Helens. That's when I knew I was home....

It's not the being back in my apartment is a big deal- the place is a dump, but it's home for now. It's just nice to be surrounded by the familiar and the comfortable again...and the fact that it's not Cleveland is just icing on the cake. (Memo to those of you who live in and/or like Cleveland: no disrespect intended, but there are good reasons why I live in Portland....)

It's a beautiful day here in Puddletown, and I'm going to have some fun with it. After three weeks of 12-hour days, I could party like it's 1999, but at this point in my life, I just want to slow down, get back into my workout routine, and work on what's really important. Right now, I feel like I've been ridden hard and put away wet...and essentially, that's pretty much what's happened to me over the past three weeks. Man, I didn't think it was humanly possible to be this tired....
