Being a Republican means never having to worry about being called to account

The Senate Intelligence Committee's "Phase II" report on how the Bush White House used -- and abused -- pre-war intelligence in the run-up to the war in Iraq never uses the word, but we all know what it's called when someone presents something as fact that's directly contradicted by the evidence. A lie. Not a mistake. A lie.
