This is just another example of the Democratic leadership in the House indulging trivial and silly conspiracy theories from left-wing bloggers, rather than working with Republicans to deal with the real issues facing the American people.
Hmm...I wasn't aware that demanding that our leaders be held accountable for their lies and propaganda constituted "indulgind trivial and silly conspiracy theories", but if believing that is what gets you through the night.... Interesting, isn't it, how Republicans would be all over impeaching a Democratic President for the high crime and misdemeanor of getting his helmet polished in the Oval Office by a zaftig intern? Yet they steadfastly refuse to hold a Republican President accountable for the lies that have lead to (so far) 4,100 Americans returning from Iraq in flag-draped boxes. If this were a Democratic President we were talking about, he (or she) would have already been forced to defend themselves (and deservedly so) against impeachment in the well of the Senate...and with any luck, they would already have been fitted for an orange prison jumpsuit in a federal lockup.
Because Republicans (and enough Democrats to constitute a somnolent majority) have demonstrated themselves to be completely devoid of a functional morality, trolls like Boehner can get by with giving Our Glorious and Benevolent Leader © a free pass. Protecting their own seems more important than looking our for the welfare of our men and women in uniform...because, frankly, it is. When providing political cover trumps simple human decency and any hope of accountability...well, you'd have something that looks a lot like John Boehner.
