Better to be thought a fool than to be E.D. Hill and remove all doubt

THE WORST PERSON IN THE WORLD

(apologies to Keith Olbermann)

E. D. Hill

"America's Pulse anchored by E.D. Hill goes away, but Hill stays with the network in a capacity to be determined." The cancellation comes just four days after Hill's "terrorist fist jab" remark, although the network would not give the reason for its actions. Hill apologized for her remarks on her show today.

In perhaps the single most stunningly ignorant and ludicrous preview of the sort of political "analysis" we can anticipate from Fox News Channel over the next five months, E.D. Hill goes completely off the reservation over a...wait for it..."terrorist fist bump"?? No, that's no exaggeration; she really did say exactly that...and I haven't had a "WTF???" moment like that in what feels like years. Given that this is FNC we're talking about, though, it's probably only been weeks. Whatever; this is just about the silliest thing imaginable...or at least it would be if it wasn't so patently offensive.

What's so amazing is that, even given FNC's abysmally low standards, Hill still has a paying gig...except that she doesn't anymore. (Yay! Decency and common sense prevail!!! Or do they??) No, this is Faux News Channel we're talking about here, the GOP Propaganda Network with the self-appointed mission of tearing down Democrats by any means necessary...all in the name of "fair and balanced" news coverage.

Hill was busted because she was just so incredibly and undeniably over-the-top stupid and insulting. The usual FNC modus operandi is at least minimally more subtle...insulting generalizations and meaningless bon mots discussed as if this is what's supposed to pass for legitimate and serious political discourse. I got yer "terrorist fist bump" right here....

Stay tuned, because if you think that this is as bad as it's going to get...well, you're about as naive as the day is long. It's only early June, and we've already seen FNC attempting to link an innocent, joyful physical gesture to support of terrorism...and it only promises go get worse from here...this from a cable "news" channel? "Fair and balanced", my @$$....
