Remember this??:
We are there at the invitation of the Iraqi government. This is a sovereign nation. Twelve million people went to the polls to approve a constitution. It's their government's choice. If they were to say, leave, we would leave.
Yes, that was Our Glorious and Benevolent Leader © , making it clear that if the Iraqi people wanted American troops to leave...well, then we would leave. Well, guess what? Now it seems that Iraqi Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki does indeed want to create a timetable for American troops to leave...and the American government's response is to act as if al-Maliki is on crack. "Leave? Of course the Iraqis don't want us to leave. They LOVE us...."
Apparently, despite all the empty rhetoric, no one seriously considered the possibility that al-Maliki would have the balls- never mind the independence- to let the American government know that they're wearing out their welcome. What's become apparent is that BushWorld now effectively views Iraq as our 51st state...and besides, why should we leave until we've secured Iraq for Shell, BP, and Halliburton?
And it's not as if al-Maliki was misquoted. The story of his timeline request came from several different media sources...and his own office. It would appear that it's time to go...except that The Decider's © own empty rhetoric has demonstrated once again that his word isn't worth a bucket of warm spit.
NOW CAN WE IMPEACH THE LYING BASTARD??
