This may come as a shock, but a prominent anti-homosexual Republican attorney general has apparently been caught having homosexual sex intercourse with his homosexual gay male assistant. Bonus: The dude's wife caught him, in their bed. This is the rumor that the AG's office has officially denied, so now of course everybody is spilling the sordid details. AG in question is Troy King, who, of course, is only interested in outlawing homosexuality and sex toys.
Wow...now here's something I've never run across before. A fire-breathing Conservative anti-homosexual activist...getting caught engaging in the very sexual behavior he professes to abhor. Man...people do this?? Does the word "self-loathing" apply here? I'm guessing that it just might. Maybe just a little....
'Course, this isn't really about homosexuality. Nah, it's really about hypocrisy- of the first order. I could care less if Troy King buggers goats in his free time...but if you're going to build your career on the soft sand of bigotry, intolerance, and hatred, don't be surprised when karma comes full circle and bites you on the ass.
It seems that King's sexual predilection has been one of the worst-kept secrets in Alabama political circles...mostly because King seems not to grasp the meaning of the word "discretion". Speculation is building about his ability to keep his job...which frankly is not his biggest problem. Speculation in some circles had King pegged as a possible Republican gubernatorial candidate in 2010. Given his rank hypocrisy and his epic moral failings, it's tough to imagine that King could get himself elected Birmingham city dogcatcher. Then again, this is Alabama we're talking about here....
And then there's the whole "wife catching him in their bed with his gay lover" thing. No, I normally try to avoid finding joy and satisfaction in the suffering of others, but when you run across someone as nakedly (no pun intended) hypocritical as Troy King, I think I'm going to rather enjoy tapdancing on the grave of his political career.
Gee, you'd almost think that "Republican" and "hypocrisy" go together like peanut butter and jeally- or strippers and athletes. Yes, they do....
