As if the Bush Administration was not already the worst Presidency in the history of the United States of America. As if Dick Cheney didn't already have a reputation for being a maniacal puppeteer. Now, new statements by Jason Barnett, the former associate deputy administrator of the Environmental Protection Agency have revealed that Vice President Cheney's office sought to delete testimony by the CDC in congressional hearings last fall. Cheney's people specifically asked for the removal of data in congressional testimony which proves the negative health consequences for human beings as a result of climate change. At stake is pan-industry regulation by the EPA under the federal Clean Air Act. And we know what that means, don't we? gasp Big businesses would have to make costly changes to ensure they aren't spewing pollutants into the air and making innocent people sick! Good thing they have the Vice President looking out for their interests. If only we, the people, had the same benefit.
If you didn't sleep through your high school civics class, you might just remember that whole "government of, by, and for the People" thing. Well, you can kiss that $#!& goodbye, knowwhutimean? And the sad thing? We did it to ourselves, y'all. Well, I didn't, because I didn't vote for Our Glorious and Benevolent Leader ©.
Because millions of sheeple couldn't be bothered to think for themselves, because they were susceptible to being propagandized, and because they couldn't have an independent thought if their life depended on it, this country is a (&^%$#@ mess. Yes, America; we have EXACTLY the quality of leadership we deserve...and it's sadly how little we apparently deserve.
I never thought that I would see in my lifetime an American government so thoroughly corrupt, incompetent, and nakedly partisan as what we've saddled ourselves with for the past eight years. Yes, we can (and should) talk about impeachment, but the reality is that the American Sheeple have done this to themselves. I love my country, but this is one of those times when I'm ashamed to call myself an American. Why? Because we're a country where the majority rules...and the majority are a collection of intellectual midgets.
What makes matters even worse is that the Democratic-controlled Congress can't even be bothered to hold The Worst President EVER © & Darth Vader responsible for their corruption, ineptitude, and willingness to lie and propagandize their way into an illegal and immoral war in Iraq. They've murdered more than 4,000 of our sons and daughters...and yet no one seems to be demanding that they be impeached. Of course, if they'd been Democrats and guilty of having sex in the Oval Office....
Yes, we've allowed these criminals the run of the White House with no fear of ever being held accountable. Congratulations, America; y'all have ensured that we have EXACTLY the quality of leadership we deserve. Too bad y'all couldn't be bothered to actually pay attention to what's being done in your name. Nice going, eh?
