[Pelosi] is committed to her global warming fanaticism to the point where she has said that she's just trying to save the planet. ... We all know that someone did that over 2,000 years ago, they saved the planet -- we didn't need Nancy Pelosi to do that.
It's truly difficult to do justice to the lunatic who represents Minnesota's 6th Congressional District, which just happens to be where I grew up. I don't remember there being so many religious nutjobs around me way back when, but central Minnesota has always has been something of an enclave for well-meaning though somewhat intolerant and judgemental Christian zealots...not to mention a LOT of people who can't be bothered to pay attention. I don't know; maybe it's the water...or the fact that it's too cold to have sex for close to half the year. Whatever the reason, I still find it difficult to believe that someone as thoroughly "out there" as Michele Bachmann could have won the votes of a majority in Minnesota's CD6...unless the people I thought I knew have changed A LOT over the years. Or perhaps they just stopped caring.
Of course, if one chooses to look on the bright side, Michele Bachmann is an unwiting, and completely unaware, freakin' comedy gold mine. Bachmann clearly seems to think that she somehow represents mainstream American political thought...which would be true if mainstream American political thought was dominated by clueless, unrepentant God-squadders who've convinced themselves that God is on their side and the Crusades never really ended. Well, of course, silly...everyone knows that God's a Republican...right?? And since all True Believers will be magically transported to...well, wherever it is they're allegedly going after the Rapture, why would anyone need to worry about the environment? Why not use it up, wring it dry, and spit it out? It's not like they're going to be needing it after the Rapture, anyway.
BTW...just in case any of y'all might have been wondering...Nancy Pelosi is NOT Jesus Christ . Film at 11....
