It was pretty much a non-event and a welcome break from the heat. Preparation efforts were limited to a generator test and setting the 50 gallon ice chest next to the sink for easy filling and draining.
I watched CNN at some length this morning, and you could almost hear the palpable disappointment in Reynolds Wolf's voice.
I came all the way to Galveston (&^%$#@ Texas, and this is the best you could do for a hurricane??
I'm glad y'all dodged this bullet, if only because it may have also saved me an unwanted trip to Austin or Houston and a lot of 12-hour days. Be safe....
