Grow up already....

I can't imagine that I'm alone in this sentiment, but I'm officially sick to death of hearing the acronym, PUMA (Party Unity My Ass). There are evidently people at the Democratic Convention who apparently lack both the maturity and common sense to be able to let go of their anger and bitterness. I've even heard one Democrat (of South Asian descent, no less) declare that "I will never vote for Barack Hussein Obama." Never mind that their goddess, Hillary Clinton, expressly requested that they join her in backing Barack Obama. No, these fools have no intention of letting go of their anger and bitterness and using that crass immaturity to vote for John McCain, who essentially stands for the exact opposite of everything their heroine stands for. But, since their heroine didn't win the nomination, they're going to sulk and whine about the injustice of it all. Then they're going to compound their silliness and astounding ignorance by voting for McCain. They're going to demonstrate the power of immaturity and ignorance. Nice....

Get over yourselves, already. If you can't handle the reality that your candidate came in second, and if you can't get behind the nominee of your party, why not just go home...and stay there on November 4th? Spite and immaturity are damn poor reasons to cast a vote...but this sort of thing would certainly explain Our Glorious and Benevolent Leader © and his eight-year Reign of Error ©, no?

I understand the disappointment of losing, of supporting a candidate only to watch that candidate have to step aside and cede the spotlight. In politics, sometimes you win. And sometimes you lose. The key, of course, is being able to get behind the idea of pulling for the Greater Good...even if you're disappointed that you're candidate lost. Whether or not the anger of Hillary Clinton's supporters is legitimate, the reality is that the nomination battle is over. Barack Obama is the Democratic nominee...and these fools are refusing to let of their anger and disappointment in order to ensure that we can take back the White House...and this country?

Grow up....
