You'd think a black woman in Memphis would know from discrimination

THE WORST PERSON IN THE WORLD

(apologies to Keith Olbermann)

Nikki Tinker

Hilarious antisemitic Democratic primary challenger Nikki Tinker has completed her bid to take this fall's nomination from incumbent Tennessee Rep. Steve Cohen, and the results are in, and, well... she lost, 79% to 19%. So to recap, Nikki Finker's campaign which has both linked Steve Cohen to the KKK and called him a filthy Jew has brought her the following things: (1) a national reputation as a wretched bigot and (2) a 60 percentage point loss in an election. Could've worked in a general election, Nikki, but alas, this was a Democratic primary.

Every now and again, I wake up to the realization that ignorance, bigotry, and sheer unadulterated wingnuttery is not necessarily the exclusive province of Republicans. Yes, Republicans do, for reasons I'm not about to explore here, seem to have a pronounced predilection for this sort of disgusting moral decrepitude, but it's by no means limited to those on the dark Side. Alas, Nikki Tinker is ample proof of that. And you could be forgiven for thinking that an African-American woman in Memphis, TN, would be just a wee bit more sensistive to issues of bigotry and discrimination. Then again, when you do it, it's racism; when I do it, it's self-preservation.

Jeebus, what a (&^%$#@ maroon....
