Lindsay Lohan says it's time to talk about the issues...so whaddya say??

I've been watching the news all morning, like everyone else - and i keep hearing about the issues related to 'teen pregnancy'- It's all related to Sarah Palin and her 17 year old unmarried pregnant daughter. Well, I think the real problem comes from the fact that we are taking the focus off of getting to know Sarah Palin and her political views, and what she can do to make our country a less destructive place. Its distracting from the real issues, the real everyday problems that this country experiences. I am concerned with the fact that Sarah Palin brought the attention to her daughter's pregnancy, rather than all world issues and what she believes she could possibly do to change them-if elected. I get Sarah Palin's views against abortion, but i would much prefer to hear more about what she can do for our country rather than how her daughter is going to have a child no matter what.

It's good to know that this Presidential collection has captured the attention of even the most immature and self-absorbed, eh? Now that Ms. Lohan has checked in, perhaps it really IS time for us to begin talking about issues. Then again, when the discussion begins on her MySpace page...well, you have to wonder if anyone over the age of 24 is actually paying attention?

Bristol Palin is NOT the issue here. Her mother's Neanderthal ideology and political is. Sarah Palin is now #2 on a Republican ticket that's more Red Meat Conservative than Bush-Cheney. She didn't even have a passport until 2007. Palin, despite her lies to the contrary, supported Ted Stevens' Bridge to Knowhere. She denies that global climate change is a man-made phenomenon. She opposes abortion, even in the case of rape or incest.

I could go on, but you get the point. Sarah Palin is, without a doubt, the worst thing to happen to American politics since Ronald Reagan. If you're not scared that Palin could be a heartbeat away from the Presidency...well, you'd best start paying attention. If you think I'm kidding, you can go here and read for yourself.

I'm the last person in the world to give lend credibility to ANYTHING about Lindsay Lohan, but in this case I'll have to give her props for stating what should be blindingly obvious: it's time to talk about issues. Of course, if you're the McCain campaign, you're going to want to talk about anything BUT issues, because when you start doing that, it becomes clear that Sarah Palin would drag this country kicking and screaming back into the 17th century.
