Yeah...a real hero of the common man, don'tchathink??

Some Galveston officials aren't too pleased with their congressional representative, Ron Paul, R-Lake Jackson, for voting against the $22.8 billion disaster recovery aid package on Wednesday.... "That's sad. That's bad," City Manager Steve LeBlanc said...."I find it very distressing," said Councilwoman Karen Mahoney, who represents the West End of the island, where damage was extreme. "He's voting against aid for the region that he represents? I don't find that very representative."

OK, will someone PLEASE tell me why Rep. Ron Paul (R-12th century) is such a hero of the common man? In voting against a proposed $22.8 billion disaster aid package yesterday, Paul turned up his nose at relief that would positively impact his own district. Is it just me, or does it seem that Paul is so slavishly devoted to his own narrow, self-interested, misguided ideology that he's willing to sacrifice the interests of his own constituents? I don't think I really need to answer that, do I??

What a (&^%$#@ maroon....
