ALBUQUERQUE- The chairwoman of an Otero County Republican women's group on Tuesday defended a letter to the editor in which she wrote, ''I believe Muslims are our enemies.''.... Marcia Stirman, a 56-year-old interior decorator, also called Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama ''a Muslim socialist.''... [S]he said of Muslims: ''I don't trust them at all. They've sworn across the world that they are our enemies. Why we're trying to elect one is beside me.''
I gotta tell ya; November 5th cannot get here soon enough for me. I'm sick to death of ignorant, brain-dead Conservatives like Stirman who feel no guilt trafficking in lies, innuendo, and character assassination as if it was Gospel. Despite mountains of evidence to the contrary, including statements from Barack Obama himself and independent corroboration, far too many knuckle-draggers have managed to convince themeselves that Obama is a practicing, America-hating, Islamofascist terrorist who would turn this country over to those who have sworn to destroy it.
Facts? Who needs facts when you KNOW what the truth is??
How (&^%$#@ stupid do some people have to be in order to not only convince themselves of the absolute truth of an absolute lie? Apparently quite stupid, given the number of intellectual midgets who've proven themselves perfectly willing to ignore both reality and the truth. Thankfully, as of November 5th, these idjits will likely have to content themselves with crawling back under whatever rock they slithered out from. They can indulge in whatever lies, propaganda, or conspiracy theories they get their rocks off on, and they can go back to being just plain stupid. I don't much care. If you can't be bothered to deal in the truth as it is, instead of ignoring it outright because it doesn't fit your preconceived notion of "how things oughta be", well, you can just stay in the shallow end of the gene pool, 'kay??
In the meantime, how about y'all do this country a HUGE favor and stay home on Election Day? It's not like you're going to be making a positive contribution by casting a vote, anyway.
