I'm tired, and I'm a bit jet lagged as I try to process all that has happened over the past couple of days. That doesn't mean I don't have a few things on my mind, though....
Have you noticed that Republican firing squads tend to be circular? I generally like to pretend that I'm not one to find solace or enjoyment in the suffering of others. Then again, if you've been a regular reader for ANY length of time, you know damn well that I will- and am- absolutely taking all manner or mirth and entertainment out of the reality that Conservative Republicans suddenly find themselves wandering in the political wilderness. Pitcher A.J. Burnett of the Toronto Blue Jays has, for reasons I cannot even BEGIN to fathom, opted out of the final two years of his contract, under which he would have been paid $55 MILLION. Call me an idiot, or a poor businessman, or adverse to gambling, or whatever adjective you think applies, but why would ANYONE of allegedly sound mind walk away from $55 MILLION? How much is enough? Burnett, injury-prone under the best of circumstances, has made no more than 25 starts in any of the past four seasons...and he's thinking that some coke-addled GM is going to pay him MORE than $27.5 million per season?? Jeebus, y'all; how many flavors of stupid does one man need??

Don't less the door hit you in the ass on your way out, knowhutimean??What sort of f---ed-up world do we live in when a 13-year Somali girl, who reported that she'd been raped by three men, is stoned to death for being an adulteress? This isn't Sharia; it's cold-blooded murder using Islamic law as cover. I know y'all will be SHOCKED at this one, but none of the girl's rapists have been arrested as yet. Justice delayed is justice...oh, never mind.....
