Sow the wind...and don't be surprised when you reap the whirlwind

I just want to Frosty, please, the guy standing next to me, who, by the way, I may point out. Had food in his hair, is a truck driver and he turned around. He looked at me and the recognition was immediate and he said, You racist bigot! And I just said -- I wanted to say, I think you have me mistaken for someone else, but I knew he knew who I was and he just hated me for who I was. You conservatives that have destroyed this country! And the hatred was so deep, it was breath taking.... Wow. Is this who we've become? Is this who we've become?

Hmm...so you build your career on hatred and divisiveness...and then you can't understand when the forces you've worked so hard to unshackle are unleashed upon you in all their fury? Give me a break, willya?? Then again, it's not without reason that I've often referred to Glenn Beck as The Dumbest (&^%$#@ Human Being on the Face of the Planet ©.

Beck, like so many in the Right-wing Hate Media. seem to have been mired in denial for so long that they thing they're legitimately leading the crusade for The Way Things Oughta Be ©. Somehow, they conveniently ignore the divisiveness and disinformation they broadcast. In short, they've come to believe the absolute rectitude of their views and their press clippings. Now that the tables are beginning to turn, some, like Beck, are beginning to experience a degree of blowback. Sow the wind...oh, never mind. They wouldn't understand it, anyway.

Don't get me wrong; I'm not about to condone confrontations of the sort that Beck allegedly was subjected to. Neither will you find me feeling too sorry the fool, either. When you devote yourself to divisiveness, fear-mongering, and simplistic appeals to those willing to engage in knee-jerk emotionalism, you can reasonably claim to be surprised when someone finally turns the fan back in your direction.

'Taint so much fun being on the receiving end, is it? Then again, to say that Glenn Beck is getting only a measure of what he deserves wouldn't begin to do justice to reality. Normally, I'd refrain from taking a measure of satisfaction from the travails of another...but I'll gladly make an exception in Beck's case.

Welcome aboard Karma Airlines, y'all....

A hard man is good to find...or why humor is still the best weapon was the previous entry in this blog.

And you can wash it down with ignorance, fear-mongering, and reaction. Yum.... is the next entry in this blog.
