One more day until Election Day. I don't know about y'all, but I'm SICK of it. I just want politics to disappear for awhile. I want to write about fun things, happy things, things that don't have the words "Republican", "Democrat", "Conservative", or "Liberal" attached to them. I want to get back to life, liberty, and the pursuit of...well, something other than politics. I have no idea what all that might look like, but I sure as Hell plan on finding out. In the meantime, he's the very last episode of this sorry serialized nonsense. I hope that you will miss it as little as I will:
The Stench Run: Republicans Ramp Up Negative Attacks As Election Day Nears: Ah, the stench of desperation. Can you smell what Barack is cooking?? ;-)
Paulson's Swindle Revealed: Steal a few thousand dollars, and you get fitted for an orange jumpsuit. Steal billions, and you're a Republican hero and a Brave Defender of the Free Market.
'My Heart and My Values Didn't Change': In Bush, Loyalists See a Good and Steadfast Man Who Has Gotten a Bad Rap: Sure, he's an evil, inept Dominionist Theocrat bent on turn government into the private playground of rich, White Christians. And, sure, his illegal and immoral war of aggression in Iraq has sent something like 4200 Americans home in flag-draped boxes At least his heart's in the right place....
Palin suggests U.S. is at war with Iran: Stupid is as stupid does....
McCain Is Robin Hood in Reverse: Who's the real "Redistributor in Chief"?? McCain talks about middle-class Americans as if he actually understands and cares about them, but what he's really interested in is taking care of his wealthy benefactors.
McCain's "name was literally nowhere to be found" at Palin event in Florida: Hmm...can you say "2012"??
Obama congratulates McCain on the Cheney endorsement: He earned it.: Wow, earning the endorsement of Lord Vader ©...now there's something to celebrate, eh?
And the Winner of 2008's Most Partisan State Election Administrator Is...: Hey, if you can't win an election fair and square, why not employ the awesome power of government to ensure that you get the result you want? Todd Rokita certainly has.
The Triumph of Ignorance: How Morons Succeed in U.S. Politics: Until ignorance and reaction stop being viewed as admirable qualities, we will continue to be governed by the lowest common denominator and those who understand the power of manipulation. And you wonder why I fear for the future of this nation....
Mean Spirits: Are you mean, devoid of common decency, and under-handed, and enough to run for office? Elizabeth Dole certainly is.
