When life hands you a bushel of lemons, try throwing them at passing cars

I'd taken a few days off work, and made plans to have some fun. Well, those plans were changed for me at the last minute, so, in an effort to make lemonade out of some really nasty lemons, I started casting about for alternative possibilities. "Hey," I thought, "I could go to Seattle." After all, it's been a good long while since I've been up there. Nice idea, but.... With all of the flooding in western Washington state, you literally can't get to Seattle from Portland. A 20-mile stretch of I-5 from Chehalis to Centralia is under water, and the freeway may not reopen until Monday. We've been fortunate here in the Portland area, in that flooding has been a relatively minor issue, except in some of the outlying areas.

I might drive to the coast for a day, but there are issues with mudslides in that direction. Ultimately, I might just be left with working out, reading, drinking coffee, watching football, and relaxing...which, if you think about it, really aren't bad options at all. It sure beats the Hell out of working and/or pondering the vagaries of life, eh?

Happy Friday, y'all.... ;-)
