And wouldn't you know it; he's from Texas....

THE WORST PERSON IN THE WORLD

(apologies to Keith Olbermann)

Rep. Pete Sessions (R-TX)

In an interview, Mr. Sessions cited rising unemployment in asserting that the administration intended to "diminish employment and diminish stock prices" as part of a "divide and conquer" strategy to consolidate power. Mr. Sessions, in his seventh term, said Mr. Obama's agenda was "intended to inflict damage and hardship on the free enterprise system, if not to kill it." By next fall, he predicted, voters may regain appreciation for the era of Republican governance when "many dreams were achieved," the size of the economy doubled and employment and financial markets hit record levels.

Jeebus, just when I'd begun to think that there was NO WAY the Loyal Opposition couldn't POSSIBLY come off as any more brain-dead...well, along comes Pete Sessions, one of the few Texas politicians who make John Cornyn and Rick Perry look like Nobel Prize laureates. Sessions, who in all seriousness suggested that President Obama is attempting to destroy the free enterprise system in order to consolidate his power, is just about the dumbest (&^%$#@ biped to come out of Texas since John Tower.

I can understand a difference in philosophy or a disagreement on points of policy. But to seriously suggest that the duly-elected President of the United States is openly and shamelessly acting against the interests of those who elected him is beneath contempt. In other countries, this sort of nonsense might well be considered treasonous, but we should probably keep Republican reality in mind. Remember, it's only treason if a Democrat does it. When a Republican does it, it's "straight talk" and "inspired leadership".

Yeah, right....

Yes, in case you missed it, we should be thanking Pete Sessions for having the moral courage and wherewithal to warn us that President Obama's goal is to "diminish employment and diminish stock prices" Wow, what next? Are we to find out that Obama is drinking the blood of Arab children to keep himself young? Will we be informed that he requires the ritual sacrifice of a young virgin in order to maintain his virility? What other sort of insidious behavior is this monster of a man capable of?? Is there no stopping him? Thank GOD for brave, selfless public servants like Pete Sessions with the courage to step forward and tell the truth.

Except it isn't the truth. In fact, Pete Sessions would recognize the truth if it showed up with a pair of knee http://whatwouldjackdo.net/2009/05/just-sayin.htmlpads and a tube of AstroGlide. Sessions and the rest of his fellow frustrated Republithugs seem to have no problem with making up any slur, half-truth, or outright lie that pops into their pointy li'l haids. It's not about making things better for this country. It's about paving the way for Republicans to return to power by any means necessary.

The problem with this attitude is that even the American Sheeple recognized that Republicans are out of gas and devoid of ideas. Since November 4th, Republicans like Sessions have done nothing to prove the American Sheeple wrong. When the Right seizes on issues like the treasonous nature of President Obama using mustard on his hamburger, what are we left to think? When brain-dead ideologues like Pete Sessions open their mouths, they simply prove their lack of fitness to lead this country...which is why they're not.

Memo to Pete Sessions: Go to Texas Hell. Go directly to Texas. Do not pass "Go". Do not collect $200.

WE DESERVE BETTER.
