Today's signs that the Apocalypse is upon us

....From the "Great Moments in Religion" file comes the news of Ultra-Orthodox Jews rioting because a parking lot was open on the Sabbath. WTF? Shouldn't these zealots be worrying about something that actually matters?

....Just in case you were wondering, here's an explanation of how porn screenwriting works. Uh, you mean people actually get paid for "writing" porn? I think I may just have discovered my new career.... ;-)

....Fixing the economy is women's work? Hell, why not? It's not like men have done such a bang-up job....

....If you had your money on LaToya Jackson being the first member of the Jackson family to claim that Michael Jackson was the victim of a conspiracy...well, it's time to collect your winnings.

....Who says money isn't the root of all Evil? Exhibit A: UBS.

....Global climate change? Nah, fuhgeddaboudit. If we ignore it, it'll eventually go away. Right? Sure, and we'll disappear along with it.

....The recession has created much higher numbers of homeless families and children. Thankfully, though, at least Wall Street bankers and brokers are getting their bonuses.

....So Congress won't meet the deadline that President Barack Obama set for passing health care reform? No worries. It's not like anyone in Congress has to worry about health care.

....The NAACP is refusing to take a stand on marriage equality, and in fact is discounting any connection between black civil rights and gay civil rights. Hey, we got ours. You can damn well get your own.

....Who says money isn't the root of all Evil? Exhibit B: Goldman Sachs.
