Fundamentalism: (n.) License to hold others to standards you would never hold yourself to

Ah, Christian charity. It might be humorous if it wasn't so mean-spirited, judgmental, and astonishingly hypocritical. Then again, the beautiful thing about Fundamentalist Christianity is the self-ascribed license to judge others in ways a True Believer would never hold themselves to. Thanks to the Amazing Grace Baptist Church and their kick-ass (read: designed by a cranky three-year-old) website, we've been treated to a compendium of athletes who clearly seem to have failed someone's "holier than thou" test.

Mahatma Gandhi once said that he wasn't afraid of Christianity- it was Christians that he feared. If the troglodytes who put this list together can reasonably be called "Christians", then I'm with him. Talk about taking a perfect good religion and bastardizing it into something unrecognizable....

Then again, it's fools like this who make Fundamentalist Islamofascism look positively tame when examined side by side. If there was a Christian version of Sharia, you can bet that the fine folks at Amazing Grace Baptist Church would be hell-bent on forcing it down our throats.

Somewhere warm and breezy, Jesus weeps in his Corona....
