Tonight on "Countdown": Conservatism collapses from it's own intellectual immaturity

Ah, what a week it was, eh? In the space of just seven short days we saw some truly EPIC Conservative intellectual flame-outs. Yep, the crazy train left the station with a full load. It doesn't get much better than this, kids....

1) We saw John Derbyshire advocate for the abolition of women's suffrage. No real surprise here, of course. After all, Derbyshire is the same knuckle dragger who's laid out plans for a future race war after declaring that Blacks and Latinos are too stupid to edumicate. And this guy gets paid for his misogyny and racism? Damn...nice work if you can get it, eh?

2) Erick Erickson would solve the problem of uppity policemen in his hometown demanding to form a union by abolishing the entire police department. Smooth move, Ace. Never mind that police officers in Georgia can't actually go on strike, so forming a union is essentially a meaningless gesture. Erickson still feels the need to show that that his is bigger than theirs.

3) John L. Perry advocated for a military coup against Obama. Time was that openly militating for a coup against a sitting President was considered a crime. Of course, when you're a Conservative Republican, you never have to worry about anything as inconvenient as, say, being held accountable for inciting insurrection and the violent overthrow of a democratically elected President. Of course, Obama IS African-American...which probably only really means that he deserves to be overthrown and replaced with...oh, I don't know...Sarah Palin? YOUBETCHA!!

4) Dan Riehl suggested that murdered Census Bureau worker Bill Sparkman just might have been a child sexual predator...because, well, we don't know that he wasn't, right? Who needs logic, reason, and simple human decency when you can smear a person too dead to defend himself?

5) Conservatives from sea to shining sea do their patriotic duty by openly rooting against Chicago's bid for the 2016 Olympics AND smugly celebrating Barack Obama's "failure". As odd as it must seem that so many self-professed America-loving patriots could be openly rooting again their homeland, that's exactly what happened. Time for another trip down the rabbit hole.

Good God, y'all...you allowed these buffoons to rule the country for eight years? And then you wonder why this country is such a (&^%$#@ mess? The inmates ran the asylum for eight years. No wonder we're so completely FUBAR. Barack Obama has been condemned to spending most if not all of his first term cleaning up the mess that George W. Bush- YOUR President- left behind. WTF?

Is it any wonder Paul Krugman is saying the the modern Conservative movement "has the emotional maturity of a bratty 13-year-old." Honestly, judging by the antics of these maroons, Krugman might just be understating the reality Conservatives have created for themselves.
