Things I think I might be thinking...if in fact I was thinking

....It was the event that rocked the sports world...well, OK; "rocked" might be overstating it a wee bit. A woman from a small town in western gets drunk and enjoys a loud, sloppy sexual encounter in a bathroom stall at the Metrodome in Minneapolis during the Minnesota-Iowa football game as fans cheered them on. The first anniversary is here, and it seems appropriate to revisit that simpler, more innocent time. Today's "Where are they now?" story is brought to by Trojan condoms. Trojan- protecting people from their own drunken stupidity for WAY too long.

....The necessity for, and use of, food stamps is soaring nationwide. We continue to pour billions into two wars halfway around the world, and yet we seem unable to take care or our own here at home. Those who support these wars will go on at length about fighting and defeating terrorism, but all you have to do is look around to see that the terrorists have already won. We're just too blind and arrogant to see it.

....Teabaggers are busy foaming at the mouth over government bureaucrats getting between doctors and their patients, which is little more than bulls--t disguised as fact. Interesting how they've been so silent about the folks who really get between doctors and their patients- health insurance companies. Then again, when you're only intellectually equipped to react and scream, you're not going to be engaging in a high degree of intellectual or moral honesty, are you?

....Teabagger (n.): Conservative reactionary. Characterized by a pronounced inability to think rationally. Prone to fits of impotent rage fueled by overarching ignorance coupled with surpassing arrogance. Empty vessel waiting to be filled with hatred, bile, and rage supplied the demagogue of the day. Susceptible to propaganda and Right-wing talking points. Will whole-heartedly swallow any lie, no matter how irrational, mean-spirited, or demonstrably inaccurate, if put forth with sufficient passion and certainty. Completely devoid of anything resembling simple human decency and compassion. Will stick to their beliefs as if their lives depend on it, even when faced with solid, irrefutable evidence that demonstrates the depth of their ignorance and dishonesty.
