Another WWJD public service....

A 46-year-old Pennsylvania woman was less than thrilled with the way she was treated at a store, so she allegedly pulled a drive-by mooning on the employees and customers, the Lehigh Valley News reports. Some alert moon-ies were able to jot down her license plate number and turn her into the cops. Police said they would mail the woman a citation for disorderly conduct.

OK, so I understand that customer service is a dying- if not already dead- art. Anyone who’s flown anywhere commercially can attest to this. When customers are viewed as annoyances instead of the reason a business is IN business, you end up with the airline industry and its kin. Yes, it’s maddening and it’s frustrating, especially when must pay for the “privilege” of being treated like livestock…but I’m not certain that flashing your furry white ass at the object of your frustration is a productive way to vent your anger.

If you’re lacking for ideas regarding how to more appropriately express your frustration with execrable and dismissive customer service, you might try The Consumerist. It might not solve your problem, and it might even leave you depressed (Here Are America’s Most Corrupt Industries), but at least you won’t feel so alone. You’ll also no doubt realize that miserable customer service is more than just merely an exception to the rule- it IS the rule.
