This is why you're fat...and nutritionally illiterate (Part Deux)

What you end up with is over 900 calories of tongue flipping delight. This thing will not only supply you with enough calories, sodium, sugar and fat for a good part of your day it will keep you up and running for a bit. The inevitable afternoon crash was not the best though…as there is now a brick in the belly. I do highly recommend you give this a shot though. I know it sounds far fetched but it’s actually quite delicious

It would appear that the health Nazis have not been having the desired effect. Though I’ve written (and, for some inexplicable reason, continue to write) frequently about KFC’s Double Down sandwich, the fascination continues. Yes, it’s everything you might think it is- a heart attack looking for a place to happen- but that hardly seems to be serving as a deterrent for those intent on finding new and ever more creative ways to dig their grave with their teeth.

Some enterprising (and foolhardy) souls have created a version of the Double Down using two halves of a Krispy Kreme doughnut. Yes, for a mere $6.09, you can create your own Luther Fried Chicken Double Down. No, this is not an endorsement, but I continue to be fascinated by the ingenuity that goes into finding new and different ways to create ever more unhealthy things to put into our mouths..

Besides the gawd-awful, nausea-inducing nature of this gastronomic holocaust, here’s what I really want to know. If it’s already been demonstrated that the KFC Double Down contains at least 1190 calories and 86 grams of fat, how is it that the Luther Fried Chicken Double Down offers merely “over 900 calories of tongue flipping delight”? Don’t tell me that the creators of the Luther Fried Chicken Double Down used the same Liberal Arts graduates that KFC used to calculate the “nutritional value” of the KFC Double Down?

Man, just thinking about this makes me want to reach for the Tums….
