A communique from the "Catholicism isn't the only authority on guilt" department....

OK, so you’re feeling bad about something you did (or perhaps didn’t do), but, not being raised Catholic, you’re not really sure if it’s something you need to feel guilty about. Hmm, you ask yourself, did I just disrespect someone…or did I actually commit a sin?? Fret no more, my friend; you may (or may not) be a moral reprobate, but no more will you have to ponder the existential question of sin, whether by omission or commission. Yes, the good God-fearing White Christians at the uber-Jesus-y Family Research Council (no, I’m not linking to the trolls) have provided us with their handy and highly official-looking Catalogue of Sins. Yes, straight from the thoughts of God to the lips of the Family Research Council…. The list is surprisingly (and depressingly) comprehensive, though “carrying someone’s luggage” seems to have been omitted. Imagine that….

Yes, thanks to the phenomenally uptight, judgmental, and intolerant folks at FRC, you can now quickly determined if you have in fact committed a sin…or just a regrettable faux pas. As for me, I’d like to see the FRC troglodytes demonstrate that they know what living a Christ-like life actually means. They’re very good at condemnation and denunciation, but I can’t help wonder if any of these so-called “Christians” have cracked a Bible recently? Then again, there’s always the possibility of another National Prayer Day…or perhaps it was National Carry Someone’s Luggage Day. I’m not sure; I really wasn’t paying attention when it was announced.
