You know you're done when you have to drum up your own publicity

E-Trade has filed papers in an attempt to move the $100 million Lindsay Lohan defamation lawsuit to Manhattan — and those papers apparently contain a treasure trove of rude comments people have made about Ms. Lohan on the internet.

I’m rarely impressed by celebrity, and I could generally care less about the lives of movie stars, athletes, or anyone else who lives off the attention of a fawning public. What I DO find humorous and mildly entertaining is when a celebrity fails to recognize that they’ve turned into a parody- of themselves. Lindsay Lohan is just another spoiled, immature twenty-something who thinks the world owes her. I’m not certain why she would feel this way; it’s not like her “acting” career has been anything to brag about. Not that I’ve really been paying attention, but has Lohan done anything of not since The Parent Trap? And wasn’t she, like, 12 when she did that? A middling talent under the best of circumstances, La Lohan has created a far more notable career out of being a self-entitled party girl with no boundaries and precious little maturity. Yet the celebrity-obsessed media continue to cover her as if she matters.

Lohan’s latest quixotic quest to support her party-girl lifestyle has been suing an online investment firm for allegedly appropriating her persona- or perhaps merely her first name; I’m not sure- in a television advertising campaign. How aggrieved was Lohan? Well, how about to the tune of $100 million? Right; I suppose it’s possible that Lohan feels she has a legitimate gripe. Then again, a girl’s gotta eat right? and $100 million will by a LOT of Bolivian marching powder.

Memo to Lohan, as if she cares: Good Lord; get over yourself already. No one cares. How about trying to get a job and actually earning a living? Millions your age are doing this very same thing? Do you feel that you’re OWED something (like $100 million). You’re a train wreck looking for a place to happen…and a tiresome one at that. Yawn….
