Fair and balanced? We want cleavage!!

Well, pardon us for being slow. We had never noticed how short the skirts are on the Fox News women anchors until someone sent us this video., with the hot TV anchors in their short skirts and sexy legs (In the interest of full disclosure, we should also reveal that we used to buy Playboy just for the articles). The note attached to the video postulated that there may be a direct relationship between the rise in ratings at Fox News and the rise of the Fox women skirts. If true, it’s an interesting programming strategy.

I appreciate cleavage as much as (perhaps even more than) the next guy (yes, we’re pigs), but this still isn’t enough to convince me to watch Fox Noise Channel. It should be clear to anyone who’s paying attention what FNC is up to. If you can’t get ‘em with news and intelligent, objective analysis, T&A is ALWAYS a good back up. Say what you will, FNC DOES have an impressive array of cheesecake at their disposal. Of course, what makes things even more enjoyable is the occasional “blonde moment” (et tu, Gretchen Carlson??).

The formula is as obvious as it is time-tested. Attractive, leggy (and usually blonde) women. Low-cut blouses. Cleavage. Short skirts. None of these are bad things by any means, but if you’re a news organization hoping to be seen as anything resembling credible…well, this seems a damn poor strategy. Then again, when you’re in the ratings (not NEWS) business, you look for effective ways to attract viewers. Many long years of exhaustive, intensive study have shown that guys love cleavage. Say what you will about men being pigs, but all FNC is doing is what’s been proven to work…and there are apparently no shortage of blonde bimbos out there willing to play along. Really, who would you rather watch read the news: Charles GIbson, or Laurie Dhue in a short skirt and a blouse with a plunging neck line?

I rest my case…though I do have to admit that listening to Megyn Kelly (and that look of faux disgust and outrage) talk about ANYTHING is like listening to cats mating.

Since FNC’s “fair and balanced” propaganda mantra is old and annoying beyond measure, I’ve taken the liberty of suggesting something I think their marketing department just might be able to use:

FOX NEWS: WHERE WOMEN STILL EXIST FOR THE PLEASURE AND EDIFICATION OF MEN!!
