MInnesota voters go to the polls today for the state’s primary…and I’ve gotta tell you, I barely recognize the political climate in the state I grew up in. The virulence and sheer ignorance of the haters is something I don’t remember…or perhaps I’ve just erased it from the memory chips that used to store the evidence of my dissolute youth.
Rule #1, y’all: you may hate anything and everything that looks, thinks, believe, and walks differently from you. So be it. That reality does NOT, however, bestow upon you the unvarnished and unquestioned right to simply make up irrational and irrelevant statistics to justify your rampant, foaming-at-the-mouth hatred of those you choose to despise. There is NO research that equates homosexuality with child molestation. Most child molesters are as straight as a North Dakota freeway…but then that doesn’t fit with your ignorant, addled hatred of homosexuality and homosexuals, does it?
