The only thing missing was a call to kill all Infidels and Unbelievers

THE WORST PERSON IN THE WORLD

(apologies to Keith Olbermann)

Rep. John Fleming (R-LA)

We are either going to go down the socialist road and become like western Europe and create, I guess really a godless society, an atheist society. Or we’re going to continue down the other pathway where we believe in freedom of speech, individual liberties and that we remain a Christian nation. So we’re going to have to win that battle, we’re going to have to solve that argument before we can once again reach across and work together on things.

Yessiree…there’s nothing that gets the Republican base fired up faster than casting as an election as the ultimate choice between Good and Evil, between Righteousness and Godlessness, and between Decency and Abomination. There’s no question as to who Rep. Fleming places in what categories, of course. Republicans stand for God, Motherhood, Apple Pie, and Apple-Cheeked Babies. Democrats stand for Satanism, Homo-Sex, Socialism, and Social Justice. Oh, the humanity…. Oh, how FABulous….

What’s truly surprising about Fleming’s silly, overheated rhetoric is what passes for the pinnacle of his ideological house of cards- restoring the Bush tax cuts. That a Congressman can in good conscience advocate for fiscal insanity is (almost, but sadly not quite) beyond belief. With any number of analysts openly stating that restoring the Bush tax cuts will balloon the deficit over the next ten years, and with the lion’s share of the benefit accruing to this country’s richest 2%…WTF?? To tie this abhorrent intellectual dishonesty to “a strong feeling that our economy will snap back very quickly” is beyond absurd. To claim that economic vitality will be restored by rescinding new banking reforms and making the Bush tax cuts permanent merely demonstrates the lengths to which Fleming is willing to go in order to maintain fealty to the GOP’s “rich people first, they pay our bills” agenda

What Would Jesus Do? Well, after striking Nancy Pelosi dead, He’d restore the notion of government of, by, and for the (rich) Sheeple. For the poor shall always be among us…but the rich need all the help they can get.

Praise the Lord…and pass the tax cuts!!
