Evil, demagoguery, self-righteous arrogance, and the Politics of Pretty (cont.)

Hypocrisy, the lie, is the true sister of evil, intolerance, and cruelty.

Silly me; I was apparently naive enough to think that Christine O’Donnell would be but a passing fad, a momentary media fixation who would soon fade back to her well-deserved self-righteous obscurity. Yeah, right; what the Hell do I know? Now it appears she’ll be with us for quite some time, the attention she’s garnering promising to be well out of proportion to anything she deserves.

Yes, you have to know the Crazy Train has left the station when we’re treated to a headline like this:

Uh…hello?? Perhaps it’s because O’Donnell IS an extremist. As hard as this might be for her to admit, the reality is that if O’Donnell was any farther to the Right, she’d fall off the spectrum. I realize that if O’Donnell is to have any hope of winning in November, she’s going to have to convince sheeple in Delaware that she’s (cough) a mainstream Republican (cough).

Good luck with that one….
