When you have no ideas, you have to come up with something to fool the Sheeple

OK…so let’s say that you’re a Republican candidate running for something in…oh, I don’t know…how about Wisconsin? And let’s say that you want to look like you have some fresh new ideas for how to fixing that thing circling the drain we like to call “our economy”. Of course, fixing the economy is a tough nut to crack, one that a lot of very smart people having been working on for a very long time. You know you have only a couple of months until Election Day, so what are you going to do? How about introduce a 68-page plan to bring jobs back to Wisconsin? After all, your campaign slogan is “I Don’t Have a (&^%$#@ Clue” “Believe In Wisconsin Again”, right?

So what’s going to be in your 68-page plan to bring jobs back to Wisconsin? Well, since fixing the economy is hard work, and you don’t have a freakin’ clue, how about 68 pages of frothy platitudes and generalities…with the font size set to GINORMOUS?

Thankfully for Walker, the good news is that he’s WAY ahead in the polls. The LAST thing he’s going to want to do is to commit to actual , honest-to-God ideas that his opponent will only use against him. No, far better to rely on smiling pronouncements (ON WISCONSIN!!), pithy platitudes (FIRE NANCY PELOSI!!), AND Republican conventional wisdom (REPEAL OBAMACARE!!). That way, no one will expect you to actually display anything resembling leadership, eh? ‘Cuz we all know how uncomfortable THAT can be in the run-up to an election, no?

Being a Republican means never having to say you’re sorry…or engage in anything remotely resembling critical thought or problem-solving.
