If it’s a penny for your thoughts and you put in your two cents worth, then someone, somewhere is making a penny.

I’ve been maintaining my dark, cobwebby, rather obscure corner of da Interwebs for a little over nine years now. One of the things that never ceases to amaze me is the fact that people from literally all over the world read my scribblings. What relevance ANYTHING I have to say has for anyone in Malaysia or Slovakia (a distant relative, perhaps??) is beyond me, but I do get a kick out of checking my visitor logs now and again.
There are times when I’m grateful that anyone pays attention and bothers to read WWJD. Then there are the times when I’m truly blown away by the reality that someone sitting in a smoke-filled cafe in Vlinius, Lithuania might just be checking my li’l ol’ blog. Perhaps for those of you who grew up with technology infusing every aspect of your daily existence, my “gee whiz” amazement might seem rather quaint. For someone like me who can still remember rotary-dial telephones (and whose grandmother still used a hand-crank, wall-mounted phone), I still marvel at how much smaller the world seems today.
Hmm…I wonder what the weather like in Bratislava today?? ;-)
