Here’s something I ran across on Facebook yesterday:
Religion is like a penis. It’s fine to have one. It’s fine to be proud of it. But please don’t whip it out in public and start waving it around, and PLEASE don’t try to shove it down my children’s throats.
Never mind the disturbing enough imagery comparing religion to a penis. No, then the author has to take it to a higher and even more deeply troubling level. I don’t disagree with the message, but…. Man, I’m going to have to spend the rest of today trying to purge that image from my brain. Ugh….
