I’ve tried to retire from the “sport” of ridiculing Conservatives. I’m tired of it, and I’ve discovered that there’s really no need to pile on when so many Conservatives write the jokes themselves. After all, couldn’t one put forward the argument that Fox Noise Channel exists primarily for the edification and entertainment of Liberals? How else could you possibly explain pundits like Sean Hannity, Bill O’Reilly, and Glenn Beck? What other possible explanation could there be for stereotypical blondes like Megyn Kelly and Gretchen Carlson? And never mind The Former Alaska Half-Governor Who Shall Not Be Named…who’s little more than a walking, talking self-parody generator….
If Conservative pundits didn’t exist, those of us on the Left would have to invent them in order that we wouldn’t end up taking ourselves too seriously. If not for them, we’d be left to ruminate over policy issues, and we’d do so until we bored ourselves and those around us. The only problem is that the American Sheeple keep electing Conservatives who care for little but their own enrichment and their enduring, abiding hatred of women. Of course, it doesn’t that Liberals too often seem to be stuck in celebrating the brilliance of their own ideas…to the detriment of actually seeing those ideas come to fruition.
Such is the sorry state of the world’s foremost democracy…but at least it’s a comedy gold mine….
