This may have been overwhelmed by all the hoopla surrounding the Super Bowl, but there actually was another football game played on Sunday- the Lingerie Football League’s championship game. The Los Angeles Temptation beat the Philadelphia Passion 26-25 in Las Vegas…but who cares about the score, right? No one went to or watched the game on TV hoping for a good game. Though one local columnist did attempt to critique the level of blocking and tackling, the level and quality of play isn’t the issue. No, it’s all about watching attractive, athletic women playing football in lingerie…not that this is sexist or anything….
You could be forgiven for thinking that men have moved past objectifying and ogling attractive, scantily-clad women…and then we go and demonstrate all over again that we really ARE pigs. Indeed, we’ve never really changed, and most men are still pretty OK with that….
