All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy

Friday, 7.29.11

For almost 10 years now, I’ve tended to WWJD, my own personal online sandbox. It’s been my hobby, my avocation, and, yes, probably even my obsession. Rarely have I taken a break of any appreciable length, though I’ve stepped for a few days now and again. I’m feeling the need to engage in some much needed and well-deserved R&R, and so my partner in crime and I are going to disappear (if being surrounded by large numbers of her friends and family can even be defined as “disappearing”) for a few days. We’re going to north-central Washington for a wedding and then to the Oregon Coast for a couple days of something resembling quiet time.

I may, or may not, be posting anything in my absence. I have no idea if I’ll have WiFi access…and I’m not certain that I really care. If I do, and the mood strikes me, I’ll put something up. Lord knows I have enough writing waiting in the wings. If I don’t, I won’t, and I’m not going to lose sleep either way. Hey, if the worst thing to happen to you is that there’s nothing new from me to read on a particular day,
a) you should thank your lucky stars for leading such a charmed and uncomplicated existence,
b) you really need to get out more,
c) you should probably go play with your kids,
d) some of the above, or
e) ALL of the above.

Party on, Garth…. ;-)
