It was a very good day

Yesterday was a pretty cool, if not overly productive and not at all remunerative day for me. Still, when good things happen, I like to celebrate them…’cuz if I don’t, how can I hope that anyone else will??

Paul Krugman, New York Times columnist, Princeton Economics professor, Liberal blogger, and the smartest guy in any room he’s in, threw me a bone yesterday, with a link to one of my posts from yesterday morning. Krugman’s page is a constantly updating feed, so the link disappeared relatively quickly, but still…it’s always good when someone with a far larger audience than my own throws a little sunshine my way, knowhutimean? Of course, that and a buck might get me a latte, but at this point I’ll take the publicity from whatever corner of da Interwebs that it emanates from.

This may or may not get me any closer of realizing my dream of actually making a living off my writing, but it certainly can’t be a bad thing….

Oh, before I forget, and on a completely unrelated note…here’s a reminder that July 31st is National Orgasm Day. Make sure to eat right and get plenty of rest beforehand, ‘kay??

And for those of you not planning to attend Texas Gov. Rick Perry’s “Prayerapalooza” in Houston on August 6th, you might give some thought to attending the Day of Debauchery and Gluttony, which is set for the same day. No, you won’t be praying, but there will no doubt be people screaming “Oh, God!!!” at various times…though for reasons having nothing at all to do with the Almighty.
