In an effort to jump-start my writing career (and, hopefully, make a few bucks), I’ve begun investigating ways to get some exposure. It’s not something I’m used to, or particularly comfortable with yet, but if I’m too achieve what I want to, I can’t afford to be a shrinking violet. With that in mind, there are a couple of new places you can catch me if you’re not getting nearly enough Jack (and, really, is it ever enough??):
I Live Here PDX: Inspired by a similar effort in San Francisco, I Live Here: PDX is a local attempt to showcase people who live here in Portland. Today happens to be my day in the spotlight. I thought it would be a nice opportunity for folks to see a different side of me.
The Agonist: I’ve contributed to my Austin friend Sean-Paul Kelley’s site for a few years now. You can find my contributions here and sometimes here.
Oregon Sports News: Beginning next week, I’ll be contributing a weekly column to OSN. I love sports, but I’m not much on jock-worship. My columns will likely be a bit more issue-oriented than reflections on whether Tarvaris Jackson is an NFL-caliber quarterback (he isn’t).
There will be more to come, but this represents a decent start. Stay tuned….
